Digital Image Correlation (DIC) Module
The DIC (Digital Image Correlation) module can analyze a sequence of images and calculate relative displacement and strain from a baseline image, typically the first image of a sequence. Pixel to physical size is calculated by drawing a line from two points of known separation. The user can extract single points, a linear set of points or a grid domain and plot in an external spreadsheet. Watch the video to the right to see the process in action.
